The Silver-Leaf Daisy is a large herbaceous plant found on Macquarie Island. It grows nearly 3 feet tall and is one of the more prominent plants on the island, but is in danger from invasive rats and rabbits.
It has a carrot-like root and a stem that can contract, both of which serve to keep it firmly planted in the ground in cold, harsh subarctic winds.
